Has anyone started phormiums from seed?

I recently purchased some phormium seeds. I don't have any details on their germination or how to plant them. I would appreciate anyone with information who has grown them from seeds.

At this point, I planted them shallow, using a heat mat, plastic dome, and light.

Penne, just cover the seeds with soil and germinate at room temps.Where these come from in New Zealand they are cool at night with warm days.Keep barely moist(not wet) and they should come up in about 2-3 weeks as a rule.Transplant into 4 inch pots when they are about 2 inches tall.Very bright light.Shade will make them stretch too much.
