Our 10 year old Chihuahua Haley has congestive heart failure which is being successfully managed with Lasix. As you might know CHF causes coughing but the Lasix has stopped her coughing spells. A while back Haley started coughing again. Thinking her CHF was getting worse we took her to the vet. Much to our relief the vet said she just had a sore throat/cold and put her on Amoxicillin (antibiotics) and Prednizone (steroids). She recovered.
Recently her coughing flared up again so I called the vet and he had me just pick up some more Amoxi drops because they were booked (on Friday) and couldn't get her in.
Her coughing isn't getting better yet and I was just wondering if there was any home remedies that would help her? Thanks.
