Since this question was asked about dahlia's I thought I would ask the same for clematis. They don't see too many varieties here where I am. I would like to buy something different but I have no idea where to even look online. Can anyone be of help?

It might make it easier to find a source of clematis if you were looking for specific ones. I'm not sure of Sudbury's zone but I know it's colder than here! I wasn't sure how many clematis would survive in colder zones so I checked out both zone 3 and 4 on the COTW site. It lists 178 different ones for zone 4 and 40 for zone 3.
I did a quick search for some of the zone 3 ones. I didn't find any sources that were mail order but did find several nurseries I recognize. Lost Horizons has, unforntunately, stopped shipping but is in easy driving distance to here. You may find that you either need to find a local garden center that will order plants for you from their wholesale sources or make a trip south - or to the west coast - to get the best selection.
While I was typing, June posted the Gardenimport suggestion. They are a good place to start with - just check that the hardiness of whatever ones you are considering is appropriate to your zone. If you have a particular clematis that you're looking for but is not in their catalog, try contacting them at their e-mail address and ask if they can get it - or know where you can find it. They are very helpful and respond promptly to e-mails.
