I had sprayed my outside plants with Cloud Cover, and the greenhouse is closed up tight. Hoping it's enough.

Isn't the view of the mountains with all that snow on top pretty though?!

10b and 9b and talking about frost. I hope all is well. Here we just expect frost and cold until about the end of May.
I do love the snow on the mountains.

Yesterday the man that has the greenest, most perfect lawn in the city (starting first thing in the spring) was out snowblowing the snow off the lawn. I couldn't believe it.

Good luck to you all.

It got to 30 here night before last.. but it is so short lived, you could hardly tell. Didn't bother my brugs that were under the porch or carport. Hope yours are okay!

Cloud Cover is a polymer like "Wilt Proof" and "Anti-"stress. I got it at Anderson's Nursery. Seems to be enough for our whimpy frosts. I've scraped frost off my windshield about a dozen times this winter. So far, no damage to plants that I sprayed. I did have some minor damage in December, before I sprayed. Resprayed a few times since then because of all the rain we've had this year. I got the concentrate so it goes a long way.

Good news for you, Steph!

I have so lucked out this winter, no frosts yet!! I was afraid this week too when I heard the news but we didn't get down very low.

I did leave out way too many real topicals though and they waited till this month to die. I think it was more all the rain combined with the cold. I am so mad at myself. I was just to lazy to put them into the hoophouse. I almost got away with it.

I even have last years petunias leafing out. That is really unusual. They almost always die early on in the winter. Yesterday I foliar fed all my brugs. I am determined to be a better caretaker this year.

My amorphophallus plants are starting now too, inside the hoophouse and outside.

yeah its so wierd i have petunias doing the same thing and they are looking awesome... so strange...

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Mine are not looking awesome, LOL. But they are alive.

I started using ironite plus this fall because its so easy just sprinkle on and water in im even using it on my brugs and they are loving it but i think that is why the petunias look amazing, well plus all the ash was probably watered in since the fires were very close to me....
