Mini Alberta Round Up

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Just want to give you Alberta members a heads up.

Ginny (Inanda) is passing thru Calgary and stopping to teach an Iris workshop for the Hort. Society on June 21. I am hoping we can have a little get together either that evening or for Sunday brunch on the 22nd June. Mark your calendars!

The pic is Blueberry Tart - acquired last fall from a local gardener whose Irises I was helping to split.

Count me in! It is on my calendar. I always think a roundup sounds like some kind of rodeo though.

Kind of appropriate for a meeting in Calgary though, eh?

Hi Guys
I will do my best to make this too, is this Father's day weekend? I will figure out something as My Dad is in Calgary!
What a super reason to get down there, family and gardening friends.
Carol you always have such excellent ideas.
Thank you
Ann

PS I love the color on that Iris!!!

Ann Fathers Day is the 15th/

Here is another Iris - this one sent free with an order from Chuck Chapman last fall. It is a spuria which I have never grown so no idea how it will do. It is called Sultans Coat.

This weekend is turning out to be a busy one for me- Ginny is here with the workshop on Iris Sat morning, repeat Sat afternoon if enough interest.( that means more than 28 people, 20 in the morning, 8 or more in the afternoon-morning has to fill first)

I probably have a dog agilty demo on Saturday morning at a Stampede Breakfast and Sat/Sunday is the Alberta Ballet tour which involves Lougheed House so I will probably be on duty there. on Sunday

So this will definitely have to be a Saturday afternoon/evening gathering.( maybe the Iris workshop might be of interest too! - go to calhort.org to sign up.

This might interest you also!

Oh my, it seems that weekend is nuts! Are you sure about the evening, as you may need a rest before your shift on Sunday?
Just let me know what works and I will do my best to be there.
I am coming to Calgary to split my mom's perenials for her just around the long weekend in May but it is easy to get there a month later too. It would be super to see you and the girls again.
