Guinea fowl

Danville, IN

Is there an existing thread on raising guinea fowl that someone could direct me to? I would like to get some, but am new to their care. I have heard that they "coexist" with vegetable gardens and flowerbeds better than chickens.

there are quite a few guinea fowl entusiasts on this forum, including myself, and several wanna-bes. we all like the book Gardenidng with Guineas and the message board at this place:

and they get along great with other fowl and other farm aniamls too!

my favorite color is coral blue ;-)

Thanks for the info and book recommendation. I just ordered the book online. I plan to read up and see what I need to do to start with guineas this summer, hopefully. The book sure got rave reviews. I hope to locate a guinea thread on this forum, but can't seem to find one yet. I'll keep checking.

I love my guineas, but don't let anyone fool you.. They scratch and eat just like the chickens.. They love the veggies also.. Just do like I have always done, grow enough for them and you, lol..
