Hey, Hummingbirders!
The Spring Hummingbird Season Has Begun!
Take a look at the "Journey North" HB Migration maps for 2008. And be sure to report any sightings you may have in your neighborhood!
(The Hummingbird.net map will be up at the end of February)

JOURNEY NORTH HB Migration Map 2008
T- The sighting of RT hummers on the east coast of Florida is me! I posted it a few weeks ago on the Journey North site.
Ah ha! I thought maybe it was you! Congratulations. Your hummingbird has caused quite a BUZZZZ among the HB migration watchers, hasn't it?!
T - I haven't gotten any feedback about my sighting. Didn't know there was a BUZZZZ because of it! I just figured I had over-wintering birds. Not a big deal since some ARE known to spend winters in Florida. Is there a forum on that site?
becky-- sorry, I can't remember the site--I was google-ing around like crazy on 'hummingbirds and migration' and someone mentioned the earlier-than-usual HB sightings in FLA...
Hmmm ... I'd be curious to find those comments. I wonder why they would say that. I have been under the impression that many hummers migrate to Florida during the fall/winter months. And some birds are actually year round residents from what I have read. Which is why I am curious to know whether I will have birds this Spring, Summer, and quite possibly year round. I am soooo hoping they are resident birds! Breeding birds who live here all the time! I want to get to know these little birds! They aren't as shy of me as they used to be. They know who is feeding them! :-)

I know. It would be good to find out whether they are resident or on vacation.
I'll try to find the remarks...
Thanks T!
I came across this great hummer video that someone made! Love it!
