Ok.. I mostly lurk here.. But heard something the other day that really "got my goat" , if you will.
Some of you may know me from the farm life forum.. The farm and the garden is where my heart lies. .. It is the essence of life itself..
When I'm not planting, digging or tending my livestock , I'm at my job at a University Hospital.. I work with lots of interesting people.. From many walks of life.. One young lady that I work with told me she lives in a development where they sign a covenant agreement before they can live there they that they can't have a garden. They can have flowers , but no garden. She is looking for somewhere else to live.. and knew what she was signing for..
The whole idea that there is anywhere on earth where you CAN'T have a garden is a disturbing idea to me.. I can understand if you live in a city apartment with limited space.. I would be one of those with a container garden.. I have a daughter that lives in a condominium, She still works hard composting .. She has a small composter that sets on top of her frig...
But, To be told flowers, no garden?
No Garden?
