Some say aw for me

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

I feel like I have been run over. My head hurt, my throat is sore,my nose is stopped up or running depends. I want soup but no one to fix it for me and I really don't know if I can do it. I am cold and my whole body hurts. You might find this amusing: I have on sweat pants, long night gown, a long sleeve shirt and footies and a hat. Can you picture it?

Okay now say AW.

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, makshi! So sorry you aren't feeling up to par. I am just being lazy today after company left! I am planting seeds in my pajamas and don't intend to put on clothes today!!!
Get well

AWWWWWWWWWWWW! I am so very sorry! Sounds like the flu. Hope not. So many viruses going around. Flu is epidemic in lots of states. I had the flu shot as usual, but some flu is not covered. I am hoping to not catch it. I keep washing my hands when I go out.

I hope you feel better soon. That is no fun at all.

(Zone 1)

Makshi: Aaaawwwwww, so sorry to hear you aren't feeling well either. I have some kind of stomach virus or something ... have felt like c_ _ p for the past two days ... nausea, chills, achy - nothing I eat stays with me. I guess it's going around, huh? I'm glad I don't have the sore throat, headache, runny nose etc ... that sounds like a bad cold or beginning of flu. I know of a few folks down this way who have had bouts with bronchitis and the flu.

I am thankful I have a pretty good hubby who tries his best to take care of me when I'm sick. Wish he could make home made soup! I love making home made soups but sure don't feel up to it right now. I might have him stop at Chick- Fil-A on his way home to bring me some Chicken Noodle Soup. Wish we lived closer Makshi, I'd have him bring you some too! I hope you feel better soon.

Going to bed now,

Lin

Nice hot bath with a good book and a candle :)
Hope it goes quickly for you.

Awwwwww!

This is when I wish I lived closer to my DG buds! We could order take out and watch old musicals together until we felt better... I've finally gotten over the sickness part, but there's still some issues that my doc can't figure out, and I'm not nearly back on my feet. Time for the referrals dance, what fun. Hope you get all the way better, soon!

Northeast, NE(Zone 5a)

Awwww..feel better soon Makshi,I know its no fun being sick.Hope it passes quickly for you : )

Lubbock, TX(Zone 7a)

AAAWWW Makshi!! Sending feel better vibes your way~~~~~ Sounds like NO fun! There is a flu epidemic here- the news says Emergency has a 12 hour wait at all the hospitals and rooms are full.

Mansfield, TX(Zone 8a)

Awww Gee. Makshi. I sure do hope it's not the creeping crud I came down with on New Year's Eve that seemd to stick around forever ... not really the flu, but lots worse than a cold with the most horrible cough. The best advise that I got, and took, was to rub the bottom of my feet with Vicks and put on socks. It really did help.

If you were closer, I'd be right over with the chicken soup :-)

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

I got that crud back the first of November in my bronchial tubes and gained 15 lbs in two months on steroids as I couldn't get better. I hope your respiratory system is not involved......take care of yourself.

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

This the first I have been out of bed for almost two days. I don't see how I can blow my nose anymore.

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

ouch. I'm glad you're out of bed today, at least!

I hope you've got something soothing to use for your sore nose... I like the lip balm I get from Mary Kay, or Carmex if things get serious.

Get better!

:-)

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

I could never leave without some mentholatum, Blistex or Carmex , Vicks vapor rub and Campho Phenique for my poor lips. Does that sound like a grandmother's medicine cabinet or what! Each one gets used according to what is hurting, burned or chapped!

Glad you are on the mend slowly.................

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

Well I am now on antibiotics so I don't get pneumonia (is this spelled right?) I spelled checked it and it said is is but it doesn't look right to me.

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

thank goodness you are finally on an antibiotic.............I spent the night throwing up and just got out of bed.................everytime I would try and take a sip of water (my legs were cramping so badly) I would throw up again.................think the worst is over.............real tired and weak but no more throwing up...........yeah!

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Gosh, I hope everybody takes good care of themselves this weekend so we'll all be better very soon!

South, TX

reporting in my friends (LOL)
Hope you are over the worst Makshi!
I enjoyed a cup of hot coffee for the first time in 3 days......that is a very long time for me to have to go without coffeee! There is a light at the end of this tunnel I think.

Lubbock, TX(Zone 7a)

Gail- That long without morning caffeine? That's tough!

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

My tummy wouldn't tolerate anything!!!!!!!!! I think I will go fix another cup of coffee and really pass the test!!!!!! (LOL)

Mansfield, TX(Zone 8a)

Makshi - I sure hope you are doing better and that we hear from you soon!!

Glad you're on the mend, Gail.

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

stownes, tell me the truth! Are your plants healthy? I may have sent you some bad ones, but hoping they got there before I got the 'crud' on some of my plants........

Mansfield, TX(Zone 8a)

Gail - so far everything is very healthy. What kind of crud are you having trouble with?

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

It is long gone but right after I mailed your package (about a week or two) I noticed some real tight centers so I treated everything with AVid 3 weeks in a row and all is fine now...........glad to know I didn't send you CRUD........

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Gail, did you see actual mites, or just the symptoms?

It's been a year, and I'm still baffled about whether or not I really had the little buggers here...d

Ottawa, IL(Zone 9a)

Hope everyone is feeling better by now.

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

i am feeling great!

Critter, the ladies from Corpus Christi were over here and noticed that several of the african violets had really tight small centers but we didn't actually see anything. Since the show was coming up (this was about a month and a week ago) we decided i better get the AVid out and the Admire...............I treated once a week for 3 weeks in a row just by spraying on the top and then turning the plant almost upside down and spraying that center and bottom of leaves well. The admire was just a safety thing.......I simply watered each plant one time with the admire and water...............

no problems since........but I do still have a couple of african violets that i can't take (not because they are diseased right now.........but the damage had been done to their centers to a great extent and will take a while for the leaves to play catchup with the rest of the plant)

Danville, VA(Zone 7a)

I have the crud also... my lungs are now clear and the snot has stopped running but good lord did it run... I have never seen so much crap come out of my nose...LOL My voice now is a frog and I can't get rid of that.... Went back to doctors last Monday and she said just grin and bear it... yeah right...LOL
Hope you are feeling better Makshi and anyone else who has this.
Susan
