That is some kind of insidious ground cover that comes up in the spring, dies back but reseeds about 10000%. Impossible to curb without killing everything around it. It even grows in my St Augustine. I really hate it in small beds as it takes over and looks horrible.

I believe it is Chickweed, and introduced plant that is on the Texas Invasive list.

I pull it if I have the time, does no real harm and gives a nice green carept look beofre the summer heat hits. I will leave it in beds that are just getting established just to make sure they have some soil cover before our big heat.
