New 'Epi' bought in Florida!

Larsen, WI(Zone 5a)

Hello everyone....
Just returned home from Treasure Island Florida and I bought an Epiphyllum (Orchid Cactus) but have no idea what kind it may be. It appears to me that this smaller 'Epi' is growing in a sandy soil type and I'm unsure if the soil its in right now needs to be planted in a different soil based medium like "Orchid Mix".... I'll add a photo to this small message.

Can someone please let me know what I need to do? This plant is still looking normal to me though.

Thanks much~!!

This is an Epiphyllum oxypetalum too:-) Orchid Mix probably contains a lot of bark and is really meant for orchids. I just have mine in regular well-draining potting soil. Any good draining potting soil will do as long as you make sure that your container has lots of drainage holes and no catch tray. These plants get big and heavy with time.

If you don't mind me asking...how much did you pay for it?

forevereden, these plants are very cheap since they can be rooted easily from cuttings. They cost about $2 per cutting or a little more for rooted: http://www.epies.net/
