Source for dwarf water lilies?

Effingham, SC(Zone 8a)

Hey all..... I'm setting up a new water feature on my lanai and am looking for a dwarf water lily that has an interesting leaf and that is affordable...... tough order? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Among the hardies, Helvola will be popping up on ebay now and then at $10, that is about as mini as they can be, very robust. Occasionally Chrysantha and Joanne Pring, too... Sometimes a gem like Berit Strawn pops up.

Chromatella can be persuaded to grow small, as can several medium varieties, though its pot luck whether they become a bit bigger than 'mini'

There aren't many mini tropicals, Tina, Mm. Ganna Walska, Islamorada, Lavender Lace, Queen of Siam, colorata can be constricted to less than 2' wide

Prices might be rather outrageous at many places this year, e.g. some places lists colorata at $40, when that is readily available on ebay for $10...

Tina has proven to do well for me....the bloom sits about 6 - 6 inches above the water. The leaves stay fairly small too. I have it in a large dish water garden.

There's also a plant called snowflake, that looks like a water lily, then blooms with white snowflake shaped blossoms. It's very hardy and very pretty for smaller locations.

Try Texas Water Lilies. They have a special sale going on right now I think.
I have ordered from them in the past the both the plants and prices have been very good.

You have to hurry for the Texas Waterlily co-op. It closes today, but Dusty might allow a late order. The plants are fantastic.
