Well, I was just wondering when the spring butterflies would show up earlier today. But this I would never dream would happen! I was rummaging around for pots to start seeds in, and found this on a 4-inch pot, among others piled up and unnoticed over the winter. Looks big enough to be a Two-tailed Tiger or TST! I put it with my other chrysallises...can't wait to see if anything emerges from it!
Congrats on the find!!! It's always a nice surprise to find a chrysalis on the side of a pot or hanging from a trellis or where ever else they tend to disappear then miraculously appear!
Am waiting patiently for the end of February to roll around in the hopes that all those Pipevine Swallowtails will have communal roosts like last year. Am thinking there's got to be gobs of chrysalids overwintering but I haven't found a single one!
