I am having a plantswap or round up or plant gathering or whatever ya want to call it here at my place...LOL...and will be posting information and where I live later on down the road..There will be plantswapping,bonfire Saturday nite,and BBQ which will be catered by me and asking for everybody who wants to eat pay $7.00 per person to eat lunch and dinner. This will solve the problem of bringing food for a long distance travel, trying to cook it to get it ready or being spoiled. You can also bring BYOB-booze. ...I will have coolers here to keep it cold or you bring your own cooler. There are few motels about 15 mins from me and 1 RV place down the road from me. I have people coming on October 24 and staking out here.. I will be posting more information soon as I get it all together..I know this is early but getting the foodstuff ready for this is time consuming..You can send me a D-mail if you need to contact me..

Edit to say..you can swap anything that is garden related here...kids don't count...LOL..

Okay, I will be getting ready to start another thread on my round up here at the house..There will be information on places to stay for those who want to spend more than 2 days here. My beds are already spoken for here for those who are helping me with this round up.. If anyone is bringing little kids, please let me know so I may be able to get a play area set up for them to keep them busy..send me a Dmail if you have kids to bring at the round up..
I am located about 1 hour and 15 mins from east side of Houston.
About 35 mins from west side of Beaumont....2-3 hours from Tyler area...5-6 hours from Dallas....approx 1 hour from La stateline...
I will post information as the months go by to keep ya'll informed about what is going on...
Moodene, I actually know where Devers is. I live in Houston and grew up in Beaumont. I go back to Beaumont pretty often, and keep Hwy 90 fairly warm. I know it's a long time off, and who knows, but right now I am planning to be there. Will probably head for home (Houston) right after supper.
