Systemic Control of Aphids ?

Lufkin, TX(Zone 8b)

I've either been water blasting or using insecticidal soap for aphids. I see that there si a systemic treatment. See

and scroll down to Bayer Tree & Shrub Systemic.

Anyone use this before?

Thanks in advance,

Yep. Used it and it worked for about a month. HVH also sells Bayers 3 in 1. Although you have to make sure all leaves and buds are sprayed, it really does kill everything for 3 months! Might be longer, but just reached the 3 month mark.

Thanks. That's encouraging. I was able to manage during the summer. However, this winter when I brought them inside the greenhouse, they stressed from the climate change. I guess the aphids took advantage of that and I'm fighting the little *#$* daily. I'm afraid to water blast when the water is so cold.

I use a granular Bayer 3 in 1, especially in the fall before bringing them inside (scratch some in on the top of the soil). I've dosed up my aphid magnets for the 2nd time this winter... doesn't seem to be phasing the the buggers.. (maybe it is and if I wasn't using it, there wouldn't be any plant matter left). I'm also alternating with spraying Neem and plain ol water/peroxide/dishsoap... I want to say they are leaving the hibs alone, preferring brugmansia meals, but I don't want to jinx myself ;)
