Impossible! Impossible question! LOL! I can't answer that. I can do a Top 20 maybe but not just one;-) However, my favorite of the moment is Sinapore because it has been blooming since last summer and still continues to bloom throughout the winter in the greenhouse.

california sally. i have to choose this one, as it is the only one to ever bloom for me,

Yuma, AZ

Beautiful flowers all, I especially like the Marty Gras Dutch Lady. My favorite is my first seedling. It looks and smells awesome. Its a Daisy Wilcox seedling. I like the way the petals twist. But I have many more that I have not seen or smelled yet, so that could change next week. LOL

wow davie! now that's nice. how long did you have to wait?

Yuma, AZ

Thanks Dete. Little over 18 months, this one came fast. I had another throw an inflo, but the buds just keep falling of before they can fully mature. I am very happy with this one though.

Beautiful, Davie. Love that Mardi Gras, Hetty. Amazing how different the shapes of each are. At this stage, my fav will be the one that blooms!

Davie congratulations on that beautiful seedling. Have you named it yet?

davie's delightful twist

Maybe you have a favorite relative or friend you could name it after. It's worthy of a name!
You can reserve your name with the PSA (for $ 10) and then finish the registration process later.

How about calling it Twisting Davie?

i swear that i'm starting to smell it each time i see this thread. LOL

Yuma, AZ

Dete, It's not that strong smelling. LOL
Hetty, thanks for the encouragement, but besides the twist I think it looks like many other rainbows, such as Puu Kahea?
Thanks for all the suggestions for names, but I don't know if I am going to name it yet or even keep it as my own. I have many seedlings, and this is the first that flowered.

that's what i think about lots of plumeria. they are just starting to all look the same. the gene pool...

Yuma, AZ

I agree...Some of the common types I have received form mexico and hawaii, are more enjoyable than some of the named ones I bought. I am trying to hold out for something different. After recently culling out all the small, thin, and dead ones, I still have over 400 left to flower and have just seeded 225 of 1000 from Thailand. I have more hope from those than any other. Here is one I am wathcing very closely. 1 main trunk and 6 very thick branches all close to the same lenght. It looks like more are starting to form towards the top of the main trunk. It is my favorite that has not flowered yet.

NP Katie, what part of Mexico are you from, if you don't mind me asking? Are there many of this type grown in Mexico? I live 20 minutes from the border.

Sorry for Highjacking your thread Dete.

I'm 600 miles south of San Diego on the Sea of Cortez side. We have plumerias mostly not named. I have a lot of pink ones from a friend's tree which is huge and another friend just gave me some cuttings from a white tree. I have one named plum but mostly I'm a color/fragrance person. Being in the desert I tend to appreciate anything that grow and flowers for me.

Katiebear, Cool How far are you from San Quitin? Iv'e Been fishing down there a few times.
Yeah I live in the desert also, that is why I too am so amazed at these trees. Have you ever tried a flame tree, or Royal Poincainna (I think). Beautiful tropical tree with redish orange flowers. Once established it can take breef frosts.

About 400 miles from San Q. Have one beautiful flame tree. Was on the brink of death from neglect when I moved to my house. It resurrected.
