CLOSED: new info on starting russian sage seedssorry

Toledo, IA(Zone 4a)

HI i have been giving away russian-sage seeds and am finally out----now i run acrossed information concerning germination---difficult or long term germination--from the way it sounds probibly better get to planting---this article says difficult possible thirty days to one hundred days till germination---i guess some might germinate in a week to ten days and the rest take longer--like hosta seed ---anyone started russian olive seed befor out there ---i would appreciate some feedback---as to what to expect since i have given away about twenty packets of it now---i just planted all mine in five inch cups with plain dirt not peat dirt -also pearlite and vermiculite and sand--and covered them with plastic--in order to avoid damping off or fungus problems from having an extended period of wet moss planting medium-as i had a nightmare once with hostas--i didnt realize they were sporatic germinators when i was giving them away or i would have told recievers so---stevo
