I've been thinking about maybe getting some Angora Goats, but I discovered that there is such a thing as Pygora goats, a cross between Pygmy and Angora goats. I thought it would be fun to do some hand spinning and I've always wanted some goats.
The Pygora seem like they would be perfect, only since I have never owned a goat, I'm not sure what I need to have prepared for them, or where on earth to find some!
Anyone have any experience with Pygora Goats?
Check out http://youtube.com/watch?v=J52OzP52-JI she keeps Pygora goats and angora rabbits and has some short clips of how she houses, cares for, shears, spins and knits with them. I would love to try all that! I don't think my city backyard could withstand a goat though.
