I Brake for Butterflies - bumper sticker :o)

Edinburg, TX

I'm at it again. Decided to create an "I Brake for Butterflies" bumpersticker with butterflies from the United States. All of these were photographed by me - I tell you cleaning up each photo, cutting, pasting and resizing is tedious work...whew!!!

I'm developing an aversion to pixels :o) Does anyone know the exact pixel size of a bumper sticker? I keep trying different sizes to make use of all the space allowed but still end up short on the sides. The program I use only allows a width of 4095 pixels...so can't go any wider than that.

Oh well, I think this one came out real nice. All photos were high graphic images and I've already placed my order. :o)

Nice job creating the bumper sticker! I like it! May order one myself! :-)

I always wanted a bumper sticker that said, "I brake for all animals-Except Cats"
Is that too mean?

Yes, it is! I love my kitty! >:-( LOL!

OMG Soap! Poor kitties =^..^= Although...when the neighborhood cats come traipsing across my front lawn they do tend to drive my dogs nuts! I have a big cushioned bench up against the front window because my dogs like to lay on it and look outside. I know those cats do it on purpose too...they seem to enjoy sashaying right in front of that window. The dogs go into a barking frenzy and the cat just sits there watching them.

Guess, we best all be safe by agreeing to brake for skunks instead :o) ROLF!!!

Glad ya'll liked the new bumper sticker. I printed it out on regular paper and the graphic quality is reallllllllllllly nice. Can't wait to get my order in...I do hope it arrives before Saturday so I can show it off at our NABA meeting!

Cat -- that bumper Sticker is totaly Awesome!!!!
Great Job. Yes, masking out objects like butterflies is very tedious, especially around their antennae. :^)

I really like your creativity.

Got my "I Brake for Butterflies" bumper stickers today. Ooooh, the color and graphics are awesome. My only regret is that I didn't get it sooner. We had our first NABA South Texas Chapter meeting today and I would have loved to show it off! Did show off my "Frass Happens" bumper sticker and t-shirt though. They all wanted one...so I gave them the zazzle website and told them to order away!!! :o)

Love the bumper sticker! Please tell us the butterflies pictured?!!

I'll go over to the zazzle site and order it now. Looks like it's fairly easy to do--

and are there other butterfly things there? Must take a closer look!

Thanks for the tip!

Cat -

I'm gonna go broke with all these neat designs. I ordered the "frass happens" bumper sticker and tote bag so, of course, I had to get this one, too.

Good job.

Thanks ya'll

Terrie...thank you too. How is the quality of the tote bag? Is it made of sturdy canvas? How does the design look? Was planning on purchasing one myself but haven't made the time. Do let me know if you're happy with it.

I must say I really do love the "I Brake for Butterflies" bumper sticker best of all.

I already have the "Frass Happens" one on my car and when I went to the park last Saturday several folks asked where they could get one. Of course, I eagerly told them :o)

Got the "I Brake for Butterflies" on Saturday afternoon...when I got home from the park it was in my mailbox. Drats!!! I wanted to show that one off!!!

Oh well, it will have to wait until our next NABA meeting.

Here it is on my car...guess I can show it off here :o)

~ Cat

ps...yeah, I put it on a tad crooked - found out people really notice something when it's off a bit. ROLF!!!

...and showing off the "Frass Happens" one :o

This one is so fitting...as there is a minor dent on my bumper that is now covered up by this bumper sticker :o)

~ Cat

ps...yeppers...it's crooked too!!! I tell ya...I can't lay a straight line at all!
...and I trimmed the sides as there was too much white space. It fit better on my bumper that way too.

Wow. Very impressive list! Thanks for IDing them! Having the bumper sticker stuck on the dashboard of my car or on my garden shed would help me ID things quickly in the garden or park if I print in the names! (of course, I don't get so many of the beautiful TX butterflies!)

Edinburg, TX

This year I plan to get more photos of the common butterflies in better "poses" - a pose that would look good on a design and easier to clean up around :o)

I have a round window decal that I purchased last year off of eBay that has butterflies flying in a circle but the images have faded over time and the butterflies are more of a fantasy species.

Eventually, I am going to make a design for a shirt with butterflies folks recognize :o)

Sound like great ideas! Your photos are always fabulous!

Cat,
I got my "brake for butterflies" sticker today. It's so cool!

The frass happens tote bag turned out pretty nice. I got the canvas one with the green trim. The design looks pretty good on it. A little dark, but not too bad. I'm gonna take it with me to garden club on Tuesday.

If you keep up with these neat designs I'll have to buy a bigger car to put them on. lol

Thanks Terrie :o)

Am thinking of ordering a tote bag but I already have so many others.

Just got done ordering a t-shirt with the Butterfly Circle :o) I made that one yesterday. Do hope it comes out looking good!
