a farther shot of plant to give some idea what size this thing is... and still growing fast!

WOW this is dramatic!

You once told me to buy a small Aloe barberae because it grows fast. I still have not found a smaller one of these.

I am desperate for a tree aloe. I found a Aloe Hercules in a 5 gallon can for $50. Do you think this is a good one to get? Is it a fast grower? It will live in a big pot. I am too old to wait years for a 6 + foot one. LOL. Sad but true. Is it light frost hardy do you think?

Thank you for any info you can give me, PalmBob.

that looks like a pretty good buy... if planted in the ground, it will be 6' in less than 2 years. it is the fastest growing aloe there is, I think... even faster than Aloe barberae. You will have a tree aloe in no time.

SOLD! LOL. It might even be in a 15 gallon can, now that I am looking at it.

Sadly, I have no room for a succulent garden. I have lived here for over 30 years and every bit just about is planted. I have spent 30 years developing great rich soil too. Little did I know I would decide I liked such plants as these at this late date. But I am not ready to give up all my thirsty type color plants yet. I do not have room for pots either but I figure I can cram them in somewhere is how I justify them all.

Thanks for the encouragement. LOL
