Here we are in a new week. I was afraid to get on the scales. One of the other employees at the cafe' has been makeing boxed cheese cakes every week and always makes sure I get a piece on Friday. I keep forgetting to take my carb blocker in my purse so I absorb every single calorie of it. Linda keeps iced oatmeal cookies on the kitchen table all the time and of course this carbaholic has to have a few every day. Yesterday's eating was quite good tho. So maybe I am being able, with lots of help from GOD, to get better control of this eating again. I'm really idsgusted with myself lately.
Geraldine seemed to have an upset stomach last night so Linda spent most of the night in her room in a very uncomfortable chair. I don't think Geraldine was as sick as Linda thinks she was but she did manage to do a lot of controling last night. Linda says Geraldine's son was out yesterday morning and they talked about moving her to a facilty where she will get more PT that she thinks she wants. Nothing was said to me when I got home by Geraldine so I'll wait and see what Ronnie says the next time he comes out. If that is what she wants to do I certainly won't argue with her tho I know she won't get any better care than she does here. And I really doubt the extra therapy will do any good.
Tricia, this is the last week for your competition isn't it? Or does it end during the next week. How are you doing compared to the other contestants?I think the last time I remember readying your listings that you were in first or second place.
Debbie, are you still with us? Are you alright? What about your family. Any sickness there? You and yours seem to be plagued with illnesses and accidents this past year.
Anna, how are you? I remember one day you said you didn't even let the cows out of the barn because of the weather. I pray it is better now. Cold weather plays havoc with udders.
That meal sounds great, JoAnn. Jack and I like salmon patties a lot. I didn't do them as often as I should have. We mostly ate a lot of mackrel straight from the can and the cats got the juices. I like your variations on the applesauce cake. Something else I use to make a lot of when the family was at home. Then we found a recipe for raw apple cake and got on a kick of those for many years. I could make the applesauce one into muffins and freeze them.
Vic, it sounds to me as tho you deserved to be tired last night. I did some weight training at work yesterday. Not as much as I use to do tho since they now hae someone else who does most of the dishes. I have my 5# & 8# dumbells that I could use more often.
Zarabeth, what did the doctor say yesterday? I didn't see a post from you in yesterday's postings tho I may have missed it.
Oldest son was here last night for a bit and got me back onto a good antivirus. It seems my internet connection got unplugged and left without internet, at least for email, and that also ended my antivirus program that Kyle had put in last week. I'll have to watch that plug in to be sure it doesn't happen again. At least I know what to check for now when that happens and the name of the program so I can go in and reinstall it. He is headed for Wyoming with a load. He said if he gets near a certain pass in the mountains and the weather is bad or even if the winds are quite strong he will just sit somewhere for a few hours or days until it clears. Just too dangerous. The edge of the cliff is so close and a vehicle could go over the edge and fall hundreds of feet so easily.
I need to go take care of the poultry. GOD bless and keep each of you.
