this is what happened when i put my inocent silkie roo in with the main lot of chickens

and dose any one now what tipe of chickens these are here is one

Lucky ~ the white and gold rooster is the spitting image of my neighbor's cornish cross that she kept from a flock of meat birds. here is a picture of him.
My only rooster is part Silkie. Very pretty bird and good disposition too.
i have had my suspions he could be a meat bird but i am not sure as for the black one i have no idea and leaflady try and get a picture of your roo what dose he look like here is my one but he is full silkie
just a question will the silkie cross lay big or small eggs

I think that maybe your sweet innocent Silkie Roo is not so innocent anymore!
That black chicken looks like one of mine - Helga. She lays huge big brown eggs. She weighs probably 5 or 6 pounds now - she is about 7 months old.
Not sure what she is, a friend gave her to me.
yes thats what we thought he has 2 daughters and a son that are ful but there mother was killed bofore they could hatch:(
and this is there mother 2 days before she passed she was taken along with her 2 sisters we hve no mre female silkies except the babys and half breeds

they are only bantams so small but i think they also come in normal sizes and bearded and non-bearded .bearded is the ones with the little afro things
