Hoar frost and pretty feathers.

When the ice fog dissipates, trees are coated with frost crystals called Hoar Frost. A male Pine Grosbeak eating Lilac seeds in a frosted bush.

An acrobatic Bohemian Waxwing lunching on frozen crap apples, against a blue sky, between the clouds of ice fog drifting through the area.

A small frock of Pine Grosbeaks were feeding on the shady side, of a clump of trees, on Cook St., Government Hill, in Anchorage this morning. The back lighting didn't help the pictures.

This Waxwing was more cooperative feeding in the sun, on the end of a branch, against a blue sky.
