When the ice fog dissipates, trees are coated with frost crystals called Hoar Frost. A male Pine Grosbeak eating Lilac seeds in a frosted bush.

A small frock of Pine Grosbeaks were feeding on the shady side, of a clump of trees, on Cook St., Government Hill, in Anchorage this morning. The back lighting didn't help the pictures.
