Our Gizzie Girl Kitty

Lilburn, GA(Zone 7b)

I have written a few times about the problem we have had with our Gizzie. Peeing inappropriately all over the house.

It started when we got the last 2 cats (the twins) and our move into our new home in Dec 2006.

We tried EVERYTHING that was suggested to us. Also everything the vet suggested including 2 home visits from the cat shrink.

I will probably be blasted for this but we came to the decision to find her a new home. Where she would be the only kitty and get all the love and attention.

Through one of the rescue groups in our area we found a retired man who had lost his 14 yr old cat the beginning of last year and was wanting to adopt a female adult. He had already cleared inspection by the rescue group. We interviewed him twice in his home and felt really good vibes.

We gave GizzieGirl up to him 2 weeks ago today. It broke our hearts to leave her there.

George, her new dad, has kept in touch with us. He already loves her dearly. She has settled into his house without a hitch, sharing his lap and bed the very first day! She has not peed anywhere except her litterbox.

He has invited us to visit her.....we'll be going this Saturday with some of our homegrown catnip which she dearly loves.
