Excellent photos, Dave. That Canon 300mm F2.8 is a great lens.
Wonderful pics Dave!!
Those Tufted Titmouse are so fast I always had problems getting a decent pic of them when they used to come around.
Spectacular shots! -- I have to get out there and practice.
Dave,
Great pics, esp. of the Titmouse! Love all the photos of the Goldfinch, esp. the one by himself! Adorable! The pic of the 4 male House Finches - looks like they're doing some male bonding! LOL
Marilyn
I don't know what it is about getting those in flight shots, but they are such a rush!!
Super shots Dave.
Great pics Dave!
The second one is so sweet!
Wow - I am in awe!
Looks to me like the thread opener wasn't a "lucky shot" at all, but the result of lots of talent and time spent working on it!
Dave I love the pictures!!! What talent and patience!!!! and great camera. No matter how good the camera you wouldn't get those kinds of shots without a lot of patience. They are all wonderful but my favorite is the male feeding the female.
Thanks for the nice comments. I do try to catch the birds in unusual poses. I have cardinals, house finches, Carolina wrens and song sparrows feeding each other and of course, many pictures of the bluebirds doing that. I also have lots of shots of the blues feeding their fledglings. But probably the most unusual is a series of the blues mating, and a series featuring two females in mid-air, fighting over a male.
Here is something a little less violent.
2dCousinDave,
All great shots and in particular walking up the stick is so cute and unique.
Excellent photography, 2d Cousin Dave!!!
Thanks for sharing,
Chuck
