Angel trumpet seeds

Dade City, FL(Zone 9a)

I would really like to find someone willing to part with some extra seeds for Angel trumpet. I'm a newbie, so not much to give back yet, but promise to stay around and do my part.

Chesapeake, VA

Do you mean Daturas or Brugs?

Hi 2busy,

I have purple brugmansia's and purple or white datura's, if you like!

Just send me d-mail!

Purple brugmansia? That's a new one on me! Datura yes but not brugmansia.

Want to try them? They are seeds from a trade, I'm not growing them myself. It's too cold over here.....

Come to find out, both.

I will try to figure out the Dmail, hold them for me and I will do whatever your little heart desires me to do.

thank you

I have some of these for a SASE. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/96744/

I would like to see a picture of the purple brugmansia... That would be so pretty, but I also have not seen one before.

There are no purple brugs. Many people confuse brugs and datura and I've noticed a lot of european seed catalogues call datura brugmansia.

Datura - Devils Trumpet, flower faces up like the devil is calling up to heaven.

Brugmansia - Angels Trumpet, flowers face down, The angels yelling back at the devil.

ah - thank you Robynznest - I always wondered why they had those "nicknames". Now then, is it possible for Datura blooms to "flop" and sort of point downward? I know theire seed pods are quite distinctive, so I know I've got Datura, but am just curious if the bloom direction "rule" always holds true.

Here is a thread I composed with detailed information about the difference between datura nd brugmansia:
