New hybrids coming along

Louisville, KY

Here are some new Alocasia hybrids coming along. If you look in the background you can tell I have more in the pepsi bottles coming along.

This hybrid is Odora + Frydek X Borneo Giant = ?

Here is a photo of some of the new Colocasias hybrids coming along as well. Most are just 6 inches tall or so but their are some interesting crosses in the batch.

Nice to see someone else using the old 2-liter bottles

You really have your Colocasia in some big pots, is that so you don't have to transplant so often?

Oh, my Brian, there are so many! How interesting for you. I love the color of your Odora cross. I see Tony Avent has your Pink China in his catalog. Mine all seem to be doing fine in the basement, some are dormant and I've kept some alive and growing slowly. I'm happy to see you recycling too.

OOoops! Brent & Becky, not PD, sorry bout that. I was cleaning up around here and found the catalog...

Yes I saw that pretty cool to see plants you name being sold by others. I have lot of high hopes in some of these new hybrids. One of them is a pink china X black magic cross with pink stems and black spotted variegation similar to black marble. So far the leaves look very cool and I hope to see if it is as tough as Pink china.

Sounds like a must have, tough or not. I love Pink China's vigor. But pink stems and black variegation together is very unique. Are they in the second pic?
