I moved North- need help!

Richland, WA(Zone 7b)

After living in the South for over 40 years, I just moved to Washington state- the Tri Cities area. Any advice or info on what I can expect for birds, hummers, etc? I had lots of feeders out year round in FL, but don't have a clue for this area.

Not sure about your area, but Im closer to your new zone, They start showing up here around march or April.
WOW, what a zone shock you must have!! Did you get snow in Washington? Bet you didnt get much if any in Florida!!
I hope you have lots of fun with the birds and butterflies this year!!

My son has lived here 25 years, and he told us there isn't much snow fall here! As soon as we arrived it started! We had over a foot over the weekend, and our street is still not plowed! I am a gardener, and it looks like it will be a long time brfore I get to scratch my green thumb!

Start some wintersowing!! It has really helped me from getting the winter blues, Or spring fever, Whatever you call it. It is fun and you still get to play in the dirt!!!
Just check out the wintersowing forums, Ive learned a lot from there. You will love it!
