There is a restaurant in Salado, Texas, (an hour from Austin) called Stagecoach Inn...has been there since one of the Texas cattle drives! Great place, but the food is kinda "old" now. However, there is a dessert called a "Kiss" that I'd give 5 years of kisses for (well, from my husband...not my kids! haha).
It consists of a little "volcano" shaped meringue about 4 inches high that is filled with a strawberry concoction that is mixed with a bit of vanilla ice cream! I once ate mine and those of 2 guests who didn't like it that much! (The dinner is "all included" and so I got my friends to order it for me, thinking I could get my fill...NOT! lol)
Does anyone have this recipe?
