Help!! Text size is WAY small when I print

I need help from one of the computer wizards at Dave's!!
I have Windows XP, usually use Yahoo browser and when I highlight and print from any web page the text on the printed copy is SO tiny you literally need a magnifying glass to read it. I've tried several fixes from Google but it only enlarged the icons on my desktop or the font size on the screen and didn't fix the printing issue so I put back the default settings.
I recently installed a new H/P Photosmart C6280 all-in-one scanner/copier/photo printer.
I did re-set the resolution when re-sizing a few photos that I scanned ( to 640x480@75dpi) When I originally scanned them the resolution was real high and I understand that can create difficulties if you try to post them on a website such as Dave's or E-mail them. I wanted to file them at the right resolution so I didn't accidentally send them at the wrong resolution. They looked OK when I opened the file after adjusting them.
Did I screw something up? Please help me fix it!! Thanks, MW
