CLOSED: Seeds Up For Grabs

Auburn, AL(Zone 8a)

I also posted this in the Tomato thread but since several of the seeds are of a different nature I'll post it here as well.

I have the following seeds up for grabs, as I had to do a bit of sorting out. Some of these are tomato others are herbs, veggies, mellons. Just let me know what you'd like if not they go bye bye.

1 pack Hybrid Tomato Ultra Sweet (Stokes 07) info is: Country of Orgin Hungary;62 days, early, excellent tasting globe shaped fruits. Firm, bright red 10oz crack tolerant. Unique green wrap ripe interiors. 40 seeds
2 pack Rutgers Select (American Seed) 05 Run 1
1 packs Beefsteak (American Seed) 05 Run 1
1 pack Sprite (Tomato Growers Supply) I'll have to find these as I know they came as a freebie just not sure where I tossed em!)

Non-Tomato

Oregon Sugar Pod Thompson & Morgan 07
1 pack Okra Clemson Spineless (American Seed 07)
1 pack Parsley, Extra Curled Dward (Burpee 07)
1/2 pack Parsley Dark Moss Curled (Wal Mart Gardens 05)
6 packs Squash Straightneck Early Yellow (American Seeds 07)

While some of these seeds date back to 05 they have been stored well and should still be viable. More might be following just need to sort a bit more.

Edited to account for seeds that have been asked for

Hi Saint,

I'd love to have the parsleys. I'm planting a butterfly garden and these would be great for it. Is there anything you'd like in trade for them?

Hugs,
Moe

i would love to try the beefstake if you are opening the package--if not that's ok and thanks for the offer

Auburn, AL(Zone 8a)

ok for both of you, and nope nothing I want or need...Husband keeps trying to get me to get rid of more but LOL one of these days I might be able to GROW a radish (I have 30 or so packs of all different kinds) seems to be the one thing that I just can't grow veggie wise. I mean how hard is it???

Plano, TX

pretty funny --thought they were the easiest to grow since my first grade class plants them each year for an experiment but come to think of it ours never seem to sprout!!!!!!!!!!!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

araneess, are you planting the radishes in early spring and fall? i ask nthis because radishes don't like heat

Garner, NC(Zone 7b)

If you are ridding yourself of seeds, there's a Green Thumb elective at my elementary school that would love to have any that you have left over. Lucky them, there's a courtyard with lots of planting space right outside their door and and a very competent teacher. I'd be glad to pay postage if needed.

I would love any one of your tomato seeds that may not already be spoken for...let me know...thanks so much!

Bev - send me a dmail with your address and I'll get some flower seeds out to you..do you know if the kids courtyard is full sun or partial? Do you think they'd like some daylilies? I have those orange ones I put up on our round up that I could dig a bunch of tubers up of and send those along to you too to share...this would be a good time to get them up and store for when they need them...

Garner, NC(Zone 7b)

Hey rednyr!
They have areas of both, actually. I think that they are ok on the daylilies, though. We have a grower in the area that donates his leftovers to non profits-as long as you return his pots, lol-whole 'nother story-. I filled up my car a few years ago. Should've seen me with pots perched on pots heading to school!
The seeds would be fantastic, though! I've gotten the teacher hooked on the wintersowing concept and she's rarin' to try it so the students would have seedlings ready to go in the spring!
Sending a d-mail! Thanks:-)))

Hi araness,

I'm sending you a D-mail.

Middle of, VA(Zone 7a)

Don't need any....just popped in to say Hi Ya Saint!!

Auburn, AL(Zone 8a)

Hiya Chantell!

Sorry for a slow reply guys but weekends are killer for me as we stay on the go most of the time. Tggfisk, please dmail me an address and I'll send the rest of the seeds to you. I'll also dig up my lettuce seeds, maybe they could build a coldframe.

And yep I start the radish seeds early in the spring. They never get large (and yes I thin them out) and I water them as they should be, just never get large as they should or taste worth eating. It's a bummer since the DH LOVES radish with lemon juice and salt.

Hi,

If you have any left Hybrid Tomato Ultra Sweet (Stokes 07) , Parsley, Extra Curled Dward (Burpee 07) and Squash Straightneck Early Yellow (American Seeds 07) for SASE, I would like to have some.

Thanks!

Connie
