I dug up my caladium bulbs in the fall and put them in a dry place. They all seem to be fine. What I need to know is about the "eyes" Those are the little things that are growing away from the original bulb, right>? If I'm right, how do I seperate them. I'd hate to keep them this long and then mess them up
I want to make sure about the "eyes"
i dug mine up too but don't have an answer--i don't think it is time to plant them yet (i know-you didn't ask that) are you asking because you have to plant them facing a certain way? and what do you mean about seperating them? are yours clumped together?
I just know you can take the bulb you dug up and take parts that have grown on it (eyes) then take them off and make another plant. I'm just scared to take off the wrong thing and kill them all, which I probably will , no matter what I do
the man i bought my bulbs from said something about that--i will go back and see what i find
he said "try chopping them up and they will regenerate over the course of the year"--type in caladium in the search and see if they have anything about how to chop them up
