Good morning all! I joined DG back in December and am still getting the hang of things. I feel the most comfortable here on the Texas Forum and I read the posts daily.
I had a 'first experience' on DG and wanted to share it with my new cyber-friends but don't know if it is appropriate to post it here. I mean, golly, I am proud of myself; I actually made an effort to contribute to the DG site!!! What I posted may actually help someone else! Maybe there is a special place to post 'first DG experiences? Oh dear, what to do, what to do!! LOL (Can you tell that I spend way too much time thinking instead of doing?)
Shoot, I am just going to go ahead and tell you guys and I'm sure that someone will tell me if it belongs somewhere else. So, here is my big announcement.........Drum roll please.............
I posted a review on the DG Watchdog site!
(Okay, you old-hands are thinking, "Big deal, kid! We have posted millions of reviews. Heck, we have even posted pictures to the Plantfiles. Come back and talk to us after you have done that!")
But, wait, it took me almost 30 minutes to type what I wanted to say and get it just right (even though it probably still isn't 'just right'). So, will someone please just give me a little pat on the back? It isn't too much to ask for, is it? ;)
p.s. I am taking lots of wintersowing notes so that I can post my results in the Plantfiles so watch out DG world!
p.s.s. I hope that everyone can 'read' into this post that I am not being a smarty-pants and am filled with happiness as I type this post.
=)Necia
I'm confused about what to post, and where to post it!
Congratulations! The first time is the hardest, it will be easier from now on! I, for one, remember well my joy at finding DG and beginning to participate. Enjoy!
WTG Necia! :)
Thank you, Ladies! Now I can go about my day! HaHa! I am finding this DG site to be so much fun!
Necia
You're welcome, and Happy Gardening! :)
Wow! Congrats! Been there..done that..and am wearing the t-shirt! Seriously, Welcome! I too am quasi-new. But, this was one of the best things to happen to me. I love it. Don't be afraid to venture out to new territories. I was amazed at the volume of great info/advice given here. And the first time I dipped my toes in a seed swap....wow!....it was a feeding frenzy! And I loved it.
Necia, congratulations on your contribution to Watchdog! But it's not your first contribution to DG. Every one of your posts is a contribution, and I'm glad you're here! Oh, and don't worry 'bout posting this in the Texas Forum. It's as good a place as any!
Yes Necia, as T.J. said we your friends at the Texas forum want to hear about all the things you have to say.
It takes a while to learn about all the things offered on DG, I am still finding out new features, and probably never will know all that is there, so go ahead and tell, we care.
Josephine.
Yep - this is the place to post this type of thing - congrats and GOOD JOB!! Keep it up!
and a big welcome to the forum.
And besides that, your GW review is so helpful! I always read the Watchdog before I order from someplace new. Thanks!
More than glad to have you from the one who goes OT (off-topic) more than any. Took me a long time to know what OT was. right or wrong, we are more conversational than anything which is what makes it such a warm and friendly place. I, too, have learned so many things that I didn't even know how to ask the question. I do a lot of roaming around on all the forums. Nicest people you could ever know just about everywhere.

Welcome and have fun! =)

Welcome aboard. No matter what your interests or how many, there is probably a Forum here. And people world-wide to communicate and work with to solve problems or listen to. Looking forward to seeing you here and elsewhere soon.
