How spendly should my seedlings be?

Marble Falls, TX(Zone 8a)

OK .......... I have a gardening question now !! .......... I have seeds coming up ....... and I am at work so I cannot post pics yet ........ the concern is ....... that they seem to be real skinny looking shoots ......I know that this is VERY VAGUE....... but just dying to get feedback on this.

I will post pics tonight.

Well, it depends on the seeds you planted, some are a lot smaller than others.

well ........ what I have coming up are Monarda Bergamo which I believe to be Bee Balm,.......... Flax Blue (whatever that is ) and Salvia Blue Bedder sp.

The Flax will surely be small, but the salvias shouldn't be too tiny, are they getting enough light?

Right how is the light? Do you have show lights over them? The light needs to be 2-4 inches above the leaves, and be so you can raise it to match the growth.

Good advice on the lighting. They will shoot out tall at first but the spindly growth should slow when the lighting is adequate.

ok........don't know about all of this lighting business ......... there is a lamp above them bnut not within inches of them........... it is on from 7 am to 7pm.......
