Philodendron cordatum - small heart shaped leaves
Prayer plant
Both of mine pass over last year and I cannnot find them local after much trying. I have plants to trade - very few house plants but I do have African Violets I can send leaf cuttings of. I also have some Iris and a few DLs at this point. Winter is still here but would love to work something out for even a very small cutting of one or both.
Any one have these two house plants?
Hi Mitch,
I have a very large Philodendron cordatum, if you would send a SASE or whatever you want me to send it in...and tell me how to package it I would gladly send you some cuttings or I could stick them in a glass and root them or whatever. I will send you a picture as soon as my DH awakes from his chair nap...lol I don't want the flash to wake him...
Let me know,
Carla

GAgirl...I have a large Rabbits Foot Fern. How do I go about transplanting it and not totally destroy
ing it in the process?

It depends on whether you want to keep the plant as a whole. If you do, then just repot it in a slightly larger pot. If this is difficult because of the "feet" growing over the side, then you can cut those off and repot them. They should put out new fronds. If you want to divide it, carefully divide into sections and repot in appropriate containers. It should be fine, but don't be alarmed if it goes through a transition period, especially if you divide it or cut alot off.
yep...it's the "feet" hanging over the pot that have me concerned.
