Climbing Hydrangea

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Do any of you all have experience with climbing hydrangea? There are a couple of places I am thinking about putting climbing hydrangeas. The first place is on the north side of my house. When I look up climbing hydrangeas I see so many different kinds. The location where it will go is always in shade, the north side always gets frosts inthe winter so a tropical plant won't make it.
I also posted this on the hydrangea forum.
I would love suggestions:)
Thanks

I don't know anything about them, but I'm watching to see and learn.:) The north side of my house is a bit drab.

I tried several on the east side of my home, lost of shade but they died out the first summer with the heat. North side might be cooler and they might like that better.

Where do you buy them? I don't think I've ever seen them in a nursery.

Sometimes Lowes will have them early early spring too.
