Love this picture! How long did it take for the Sweet Box to get to this size? And incase I'm seeing the picture wrong, how big is it exactly.

Hi zville123,

this plant seems to be a few years old and is about 4' tall. They grow so well here and this is in a public walk-through in the city. The blooms are lovely in the winter and provide a surprise fragrance when you don't expect it.

I'm debating on trying a couple of Sarcococca here. The one's I'm thinking of trying are hardy to zone 6. I was just curious as to how fast they grow.

They are medium to slower growing and benefit from cool growing conditions. They seem to hate heat and too much sun. Full shade suits them just fine. Nice black organic soil is to their liking as well with a bit of sand.

Well, that's good to know. We have a shady slope I was thinking of planting them on.
