I am home with my new puppy! I have not named her yet..keep the names coming..She barked at my piggy-Daisymae who came up to the patiodoors to greet me..LOL..Daisymae took a look at her and grunted..haha.. puppy did not back down from Daisymae either so we will see about this..lol..This girl is a Great Pryenees and not tiny either!!

How about Ursa, like Ursa Major, the star constellation, it means bear. I know Nadine likes the native American names.
Her sire is Beorn, the bear in the Lord of the Rings. Her grandsire was moose and weighed over 200 lbs.

I lost my long time companion ( a Chinese SharPei ) not too long ago and I had named her "Mi Regalo" called her Mi (pronounced Me)for short. It means My Gift.
Oh, Nadine, she's so adorable, I've had Newfies, and they remind of of GP. I could tell she is going to be huge! .. Daisymae probably thinks "Here we go again, another one to train"... You'll have to pick a name, I'd need to come get aquainted with her to pick one. They are such dedicated companions.. Anaid, so sorry for your loss.
I played with them Sunday and you sure want to take all of them home BUT they grow up. They were as soft as down and are truly beautiful and good.
Let us see some close ups because I could see her growing as we petted them.

P.S. I am just a little jealous and envious because I had a Golden and a Maltese.
When my golden died last Sept. I got another Maltese. No offense to the Maltese in the world but I miss my Golden!! I am a GOLDEN person!! Your pictures and my angst have affirmed that for me.

Babe is doing very well. She is staying outside more and more everyday. She doesn't bother my chickens and ducks..lol..I do know she talks alot.making like baby doggy noises and makes snoring sounds while she is asleep!..Maggi can vouch for that..lol...I have been having nasty raining off and on weather outside and it is muddy so picture taking right now is not good..but will soon.
Wait a minute!! Great Pryenese!! IN FLORIDA??? How does the breed survive those horrible hot humid days for all those long many months?? We have the same hot humidity in Mich. But only for 3 months!! The rest of the months are perfect for this furry breed. But I am surprized to see such a furry breed so far south. Do you shave them?? How do they keep cool in the summer??
Wow I thought they were Goldens!! They are the same color as my girl golden. You can see where the confusion started. i also thought mistakenly that Greats were white!

When I had Myron, she laid in the shade in the cool moist dirt. I also kept 2 tub size water containers here for drinking water. I sometimes have a mister going as well..I didn't have to shave her at all..She also laid in the pond which was about 2 to 3 inches deep..lol..
Beorn(Ken's dog) looks golden color since he lays in that red dirt up there where he lives..LOL..
I wish Babe Bera would just stay white for a change..she is too busy playing in the mud with the ducks!! and making friend with Daisymae.They both sleep in her house together at nite time..lol..maybe one of these days I will sneak up on them to take that pic..!!
