Many people here probably have all of this data tucked away on their computer hard drives somewhere :) But, since we get new arrivals from time to time, I thought I'd post these links that I've found very helpful.
How much energy average appliances use (for those of us who have not purchased our watt measurement do hickies)

Solar radiation data manual for US states (can be downloaded as a whole book, or state by state) PDF format.

An article that helps explain how to translate the solar radiation data:

And my all time favorite article so far on how to assemble a system for under 1000.00 to run a *minimalist* cabin or such (including what you have to purchase):

I like this magazine's site so much that I canceled another subscription (get something new, get rid of something) so that I could take this one instead. Probably everyone here already knew about it, but I was slow to finding out about it :)
Hope this is helpful for peeps!
