Foxtail Palm
Wodyetia bifurcata

Bought this plant early 2007 to use on my porch and it has been doing good. We had a frost 2 weeks ago and I lost 2 leaves.

That is a Wodyetia, most likely, but certainly not a Caryota species...

Thank you - I really don't know . I was told it was a Caryota...but I have been told alot of things that were not true. Now that I know these two names I can do some digging (so-to-speak) on finding out more about this plant.

It is a Foxtail palm (Wodyetia bifurcata). In my opinion so much better than the Caryota mitis.

Thank you all. We would be happy to move the photo when we arrive at a positive ID.
