Kell, thank you so much. The blooms are very beautiful. I was really worried that they wouldn't be very good because it was very dark when I took them. I am used to trying to adjust for bright Texas sun not the dark light in rain forest regions. I guess I lucked out. :o)

You must have a great camera because it looks like mid day out. And of course your skill too!!

I had to had to show my husband the pic of the whole plant. So HUGE!

My camera is pretty old and does not have a high mega pixel; however, it has a really good lense. These photos have a lot of graininess because I had used the wrong settings. Luckily, when they were reduced in size, it doesn't show up. The plant itself is about 4 feet tal or less. The length of the bloom spike is amazing.

And you take such great pics with that old camera.

Thanks for your kind words. The one I have been using takes 3.5 mega pixel photos. My husband gave me another newer used camera that takes 6.2 mega pixels photos; however, I don't know how to use it yet. . I took 3 photos with it yesterday and forgot to set it to macro! :o)

I am having trouble with my new camera too. My old one was great. Though I think it is more me. Hard to teach this old dog new tricks for sure. LOL
