beijing white pear

Is anyone familiar with the Beijing White Pear? I am having a hard time finding information on this. I have a Chinese friend who said these were very popular in China.

It is a particular kind of asian pear - 北京白梨 in Chinese I think. Here is a picture:

Your probably right that you won't fine the exact pear but they grow around here. They have a real crisp light taste which I like. I've never asked what ezact variety
