Question on Spay/Neuter Clinics

I have 2 kitties that I am thinking of having spayed. At this point in time, I cannot afford to have my vet do it. I picked up a flyer on a spay/neuter clinic, spaying is only $25. Has anyone here ever been to one of these? What kind of care is given for only $25? An office visit at my vet is more than that. Not sure if I should take my girls in for this, or wait until I have the funds to take them to someone I know and trust.

I don't want this to turn into another rant about spaying and neutering, I have my own ideas about that. I really just want to know about the specifics of such low cost clinics.
