Need Help Mounting CD Drive on Linux FC5 Virtual Machine

Charleston, SC(Zone 9a)

I'm running Fedora Core 5 as a Virtual Machine on a MacBook Pro using Parallels.

For most things I've needed to do, basic linux/unix commands work such that the VM is a non-issue, but I wanted to be sure to give you all of the information.

I'm having difficulty figuring out how to mount the CD drive (on this beast. lol - to keep from swearing)

So far I have determined the following:

/mnt exists but is empty
/media exists but is empty
/etc/fstab does not have an entry which seems to relate to the CD drive. (abbreviated) items are:
/boot
/dev/pts
/dev/shm
/proc
/sys
/dev/VolGroup
dev/VolGroup

dmesg | grep hd returns:
(it has 4 lines relating to hda, the 1st of which says its a virtual HDD which makes sense, of course; a line which says hda: hda1 hda2; and the line "EXT3 FS on hda1, internal journal")

Any ideas?
