Hi! I'm an old, newbie. I just parked the snowblower in the garage. Came in to thaw out my fingers and toes. Windchill -10*. My raised beds were covered with snow. Garlic (100 corms) and shallots (12 plants) are buried under 6" of compost and 5 " of snow. Hope that keeps them insulated well enough! Where are those beautiful sunny days in the garden?
Hello! from Des Moines, IA
Welcome to DG, johnb! Have you seen the Iowa Roundup thread yet? http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/802783/
I can't go this year. Still whining about it, but it's a lot of fun, and there are a lot of great gardeners who live close to you.
So Welcome!
Oh, and in answer to your question -- I don't know where the beautiful sunny days of gardening went, but I sure am wishing they were back! Took hubby an hour to shovel out the driveway this morning.
