Where can I order Gloriosa Lillies?

Mesilla Park, NM

I wrote on my Calendar to order them at the end of December, but I did not write down the name of the company and now I don't remember. I've been googling but don't recognize anything on there, Anyone know who lists them now? Thank you.

Brent & Becky's has them:

And BloomingBulb also has one type (Rothschildiana) and they're on sale right now:

Do these bloom only once like Oriental lilies, or all spring or summer, maybe like clematis?

Thanks!

Mesilla Park, NM

Thank you guys so much..

This will be the first time I grow these and I've been eyeing them for years. I don't know how/when they bloom. I do know they spread/multiply alot from what I read. They do say zone 8, so I'll be pushing it.

Dandridge, TN(Zone 6a)

You can grow them in the ground or in pots, and if you are in the wrong zone, dig them up in fall and store them dry.

Mesilla Park, NM

Alrighty, I got two orders of these and a whole lot of other bulbs... that's what i get for looking..

got them at easytogrowbulbs, plus some rain lilies (yellow, white and pink), and Oxalis Depressa and Triangularis..

Thanks everyone..

Gourd,
If you go to this location and scroll down a bit there's a couple of long entries concerning gloriosa culture and observation:

I got an "access denied" message for that link. Did it work for anyone else?

jmorth,

That is great documentation you have there and helped me alot. I have some pots that I can use and you have basically answered all the questions I had.

Now I have hope here in zone 7, some places I visited listed them as hardy to zone 7 also, but I don't believe it...

My giant squill is doing great though.

Thank you for pointing us in you direction there and all the great information you have written.

langbr's links works.. Thanks langbr.. A.

Mine bloom continuously from June until winter. This year, they did not stop blooming until almost December. This was taken at the end of November.

Guord, how many are you wanting?

Mesilla Park, NM

Hi there,
I just wanted a few, but I guess they dont' sell them till almost spring, I've been eyeing these for years, and have seen how neat yours look too..

surfside beach, SC(Zone 8b)

I think that bleek has them at www.eflowergarden.com or www.touchofnature.com

I bought them from him in the spring of last year.

He is a DG member, has wonderful bulbs at terrific prices.

Mirpur (A.K), Pakistan(Zone 9b)

I have yellow and orange ones, dig in falls and again plant the tubers in April, sprout in June and give blooms till falls. This lily grow like a vine and need support. I think one of the most beautiful lily, You all will not believe I rescue these from wild.... yes from Jungle.

Hi Kaleem,
I was thinking about you and your family a couple of days ago. Hope all is well..

That is a nice lilly there, good job on the rescue.

Downscale, looks like bleek is not carrying those yet, maybe later in Spring.

Niceville, FL(Zone 8b)

Guord, I can dig you up a couple if you like.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

www.touchofnature.com has these available now, shipment I think will be in early March. Their product is excellent, and prize is reasonable. These are what I got from TON last year, first time growing these beauties. I'm going to get more, so y'all save some for me and don't order them all. lol.

rylaff, yours seems to be a deep, true red instead of orange. Do you know the variety? I'd like to order some and since I don't know a thing about them (except that mine never even came up last year!). I want to make sure I order that deep red.
Thanks!

Niceville, FL(Zone 8b)

I think they are Rothschildiana.

Mableton, GA(Zone 7a)

B&B only has 3 kinds and if only 3 kinds exist, then the one you have is closest. I still think your's is a much deeper red, but that can also be lighting, etc. when photographing. Thanks for the info!

Mesilla Park, NM

Which page on the touchofnature site are you seeing these at, I was not able to find any.

Rylaff, only if I can buy them from you or give you something back... let me know if there is anything I can do from this end for you. THANK you.

Gourd, TON website isn't easy to navigate. I went into their search. Fill in the name "glorisa" then choose the color. They have the yellow and Red with yellow margin (the pic. I posted above). Once the search box shows up, you can just click on the option there. It took me a couple of days to figure that one out. lol. But I'm going to get a ton this spring to stagger planting them out....got a total of 5 tubers last year. The picture above shown but 3 out of the five that were blooming.

lily, I finally found them.. thank you... easytogrowbulbs has them 6 for 8.95 and they have three or four types/colors. I wish I had seen the others that they had.. I'm learning how to start looking for the menus on these sites, they are not difficult once you do it..lol, but boy it takes me a long time...

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

www.easytogrowbulbs.com ? Are they mature bulbs that ready to grow? Anyone ordered from them before? Thanks Gourd

Mesilla Park, NM

Well, my message just disappeared.. Anyway I'll try again, I bought 24 caladium Candidum (white) from lowes for 6.98, and Canna durben 2 for 3.48, pink and the white lily of the valley, two packs of each, I thought this way I dont' have to wait for shipping and save on shipping at the same time. I try to buy locally, but sometimes you just cannot find alot of the new must haves... They have alot of bulbs in stock now, even Iris.. many others too. HD had the giant ee bulbs, so I got three of those.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Watch out for those giant EE bulbs, they multiply like rabit! lol. I got one last year, boys! didn't they grow like weeds. Easytogrowbulbs seems like they've alot of varieties. I'm gonna give them a try.
Thanks.

Mesilla Park, NM

did you see the co-op for plumeria?? they are going fast..

Niceville, FL(Zone 8b)

I have about 20 plumeria but could not resist. I ordered 20 more for that price.
