Dragon Fruit problem

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

My Dragon Fruit is in trouble. Two of its leaves are turning yellow and there is orange coloring on the joints. It is not aphids as it is inside the stem. Is this some type of fungus? What can I do to stop this. I've never seen this before. I don't want to lose the plant. I've posted on the Cactus forum, and Chantal suggested I also post here. I sure hope someone can help!

I also am curious as to what causes this. today I found 3 different cactus with rust colored spots on them. Could it be from the cold? Have never seen this before. All three plants are sitting next to each other. Could whatever this is spread to other plants, or could it possibly be coincidence that they are all in the same area. It is not a bug ...just looks like rust....what is it?

I spoke to the person who grows lots of dragon fruit. He said my problem was from cold. He said they are not usually affected unless temp goes below freezing, but the wind chill will do it. I have no other stems with the problem. I cut them off, and I planted one that was not too bad in a pot. I'm waitingfor new growth on it.
