I am finally posting pics of some of my collection. I would appreciate it if anyone knows propper care for the differnt ones and names fore my un-named varieties. Thanks for the help!
Aechmea Andersonni is the first
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
Drooling on the keyboard here...beautiful!!!
With your Texas location, the Nelwyn, Andersonii (all referneces to the late great John Anderson and wife Nelwyn) I'll bet youve been to John's place near Corpus.
In general,
Neoregelias like lots of light. More light ---> shorter, stouter, redder leaves.
Nidulariums like shade
Aechmeas, Porteas - middle of the road.
Of course all of them like high humidity which is hardly a problem in your locale. Check www.bsi.org and www.fcbs.org for good information on culture.

Yes Dave you guessed it... I did get the unbelievable opportunity to go through Johns collection with my mother and grandmother, well and Mrs. Anderson of coarse!! She was so sweet to us! I am so nervous with the ones I got from her that I am going to hurt them some how... it is alot of pressure on a begginer!! I would love any help you can give me!! I am absolutely in love with them now! Thanks... Sara
