The Podster has an eye infection and the treatment in an antibiotic salve. It is to be applied 3 times a day ~ for 7 days. Started in the right eye but now in both eyes!
This Podhead hates it and gives me the devil of a time. He shakes, squirms and twists around making my job even more difficult. When I pin him down, he learned to squinch his eyes closed so I can't even pry them loose. Scared to poke him in the eye with the salve tube and aggravate this condition.
When other pets have needed similar care, I would use a thumb to cup the lower lid and put the salve there. Not working on this guy...
Anyone have any pointers on applying eye salve that would make it easier on the both of us? Advice would be appreciated as it is a battle.
