This a good time for pruning confederate roses?

Bluffton, SC(Zone 9a)

The leaves are off my etc. Should I prune it back now or wait till the end of Feb.? Most plants I prune around the last week of Feb.

Conway, SC

I cut mine back to the ground every year anytime from now thru Feb. Every year there are many new shoots and they bloom beautifully. I would like to know how to divide them. They are very large and beginning to take over the flower beds I started them in.
Poor planning on my part. Any ideas?

Did some pruning today. I get bored and feel I need to do something. LOL. Started 100+ plus seeds today too. JHopefully I learned what not to do last year and will have great success this year. I hope so because some of the seeds I have are not very common and in one case are one of a kind I think. X thanks for those.

I don't think they can be divided. I'm getting rid of my CR hedge, tired of battling whiteflies. After digging up a few crowns, the roots are like regular roses .. a large central root with side roots.

CoreHHI - you sound like me! I got 4 trays started last week and thus far 2 of the trays have germinated and I brought them inside due to the SNOW we are now getting in Newberry! I just went outside and took pics of my cat chasing the flakes..he's going nuts trying to get them all...I have a GH I heat but just in case I wanted to bring them in :)~
